Exporting your video in Premiere Pro

How to export a video in Premiere Pro?

Exporting your video is way easier than you think. When your timeline is selected you can press the shortkey CTRL + M, this will immediately bring you to the export settings. If this doesn’t work you can always go to file, then click on export and lastly select media.

A new window will pop up with the export settings, this may look like a bunch of gibberish at first but it isn’t that hard. You will probably want a high quality video that isn’t to big in size. Therefor I would recommend using the .h264 codec for your export. This is actually one of the most used codecs for sharing your videos because it’s supported by almost every website. And it isn’t to big in size so it’s easy to send to friends or family.

Premiere has also provided us with default presets, have a look at them and find the one that fits your needs. They have SD, HD, UHD and 4K presets but if you don’t know which one to pick than take the one on top that says ‘match source, high bitrate’, this will automatically choose the best option for your project.

If you have chosen this then there is no need to jump into the advanced settings. However, if you want to have more control with the advanced settings I would recommend wathing our in depth tutorial about that, you can find it here.
